£6.89 estimated saving from Orza's plan, last 7 days
Orza's plan is advice. Nothing is sent to your battery.
Against what your battery did on its own schedule, Sun 18 Oct to today so far.
A copy of your battery
Orza runs a copy alongside your real one.
Following Orza's plan
Every half hour the copy does what Orza's plan says, from only what was known then: the prices, and the sun and use it expected.
The difference is the saving
What your battery really cost, less what the copy would have, both from your own home's readings.
So it is an estimate: Orza's battery never existed. How this is measured
Each day was worked out as it happened.
Sun 18 Oct to today so far
36.5 kWh more bought with Orza's plan
110.6 kWh against your 74.0, over these 6 days; 7.0 kWh less of it at the week's dearest prices (21p and up).

A charge is paid for when it's bought and pays back later, so read the day as a whole.
Each half hour, Orza's copy of your battery follows the plan that was in force at the time, against only what was known then, never hindsight. That is the difference between a figure the plan could have delivered and one that flatters it.
Orza's battery runs on what your home used and your roof made as your inverter counted them: where it reports its own totals for a day, each half hour is scaled so the day adds up to them, and the day is worked out again once they arrive, just after midnight. The five-minute readings say when; the inverter's counters say how much.
A day is worked out again when Orza's planner has since changed: its plans are made again, half hour by half hour, from only what was known then (Agile prices as published by then, and past them estimated as the live planner does; the solar forecast in force then, scaled to your roof; your use as Orza forecast it then), with a battery that carries its own charge from day to day. The day's new figure replaces its old one, so each day counts once.
A day counts only if every half hour was read and costed at published prices. Where a default had to stand in (no export tariff set, no price yet, no plan in force), or a half hour was never read, the whole day is left out, because a battery pays in one half hour and is repaid in another.
Each day is what the two batteries actually cost, nothing guessed. When one ends a day with more charge in it than the other, filling the emptier one back up counts in the half hours it happens. So a day one battery spends down can read large and the day it fills back up small; over a week or a month that evens out.
While your battery runs on its own, the comparison is what it really cost against what Orza's plan would have cost. On a day an instruction from Orza reached it (your schedule, or Automatic control), it was following Orza, so the comparison is instead the same battery on the demo owner's own routine, a charge from the grid every night, against what your battery really cost. Both are worked out from your inverter's readings, through the same model of your battery, so they are compared like for like. The grid cost on Energy and Home is measured differently: where your supplier has published its own half-hourly meter reads, those are used. Over a month the two come within a percent or so of each other; on a single day, especially one with big grid charges, they can be 10% or more apart.
